GNEX has created standardized almond commodities that can be listed and traded through the GNEX trading platform.

These commodity definitions have been chosen to meet the highest volume everyday trading requirements for buyers in different geographic regions and include In-Shell and Shelled commodities.

Quality and Size definitions and consistent incoterms give improved market price transparency and choice.

Californian Shelled Almonds, Blanchable Varieties, Standard Sheller Run or better at Seller's option, sized or unsized at Seller's option, with up to maximum five percent serious damage. FAS (California Port).

GNEX NPX2325™

Californian Shelled Almonds, Nonpareil US Extra No.1 23-25 And or Larger. FAS (California Port).

  1. USDA Standard Gradings: Shelled and In-Shell
  2. For Bid listings, Buyer specifies load size in listing. For Offer listings, Seller may specify load size or allow load size to be specified by Buyer when making trade through the platform.
  3. 50lb carboard cartons may be available at additional cost.
  4. Months in which a commodity from a particular crop year is available for delivery on the GNEX Platform. For example, for GNEX BVSTD5, 2025 Crop Year is available for shipment periods from September 2025 until December 2026.
  5. FAS (California Port). Seller is responsible for organizing shipping on behalf of Buyer if required. Risk transferred upon delivery at port to nominated carrier.
  6. Ex-Works incoterms adjusted such that Seller is responsible for loading product on truck at Seller's premises.
  7. All almond contracts traded through the GNEX platform use GNEX's Standard Almond Trading Agreement GNEX-SATA™. This gives transparent and comparable pricing across all contracts.
